Goldstream 1-Year Limited Warranty
We build industrial-grade equipment designed to work hard. If it breaks because of a manufacturing defect, we fix it.
We warrant our pumps to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. If it wears out from heavy use or is used for the wrong fluid, we stock the parts to get you back up and running.
Coverage Terms
Goldstream Pumps warrants the Motor, Pump Body, and Internal Components for a period of 1 year.
What this covers:
- Motor failure under normal load.
- Casting defects (cracks or porosity).
- Switch and wiring assembly defects.
- Gear and shaft defects.
Critical Limitation: Lubricity & Fluid Type
This is the most important rule for these pumps.
These are internal gear pumps. They do not have external grease fittings because the internal bushings and gears are lubricated by the fluid being pumped.
- Oil-Based Fluids Only: The pump relies on the oil (Motor oil, Diesel, Hydraulic fluid, ATF, Veggie oil) to create a film between the shaft and the bushings.
- No Water or Solvents: Pumping water, thin solvents, or gasoline will void the warranty immediately. These fluids do not offer sufficient lubricity. Without an oil film, the bushings will gall and seize very quickly.
What Voids This Warranty
- Pumping Non-Lubricating Fluids: As stated above, use with water, water-based solutions, or non-lubricating solvents causes rapid internal failure and is not covered.
- Extended Dry Running: While these pumps are tough, they generate heat when running. Running the pump dry for extended periods (several minutes) will cause the pump head to overheat and seize.
- Modification: Disassembling the motor or altering the electrical configuration beyond the factory specifications.
Repair & Service Policy
We design our pumps to be serviceable tools, not disposable appliances.
- In-Warranty: We cover parts and labor. You ship the unit to our SC facility; we repair it and cover the return shipping.
- Out-of-Warranty: If your pump is outside the 1-year window, or if the damage was caused by non-warranty issues (like pumping water), we offer flat-rate repair services. We also stock all replacement parts (Pump Heads, Gears, Seals, Motors) for easy field repairs.
